Posh Puppy Boutique had already carved out a strong niche in the world of dog apparel and accessories, but Founder and CEO Jennifer Kirk knew their marketing campaigns could be driving more online store traffic.

THE PROBLEM

Posh Puppy Boutique has a fun, unique, and much-loved brand aesthetic, but that wasn’t coming through in its email graphics. They were static and often filled with stock imagery, and Founder/CEO Jennifer Kirk wanted her emails to be as stylish and eye-catching as the products in her popular online store. Jennifer needed a seamless way to upgrade her marketing campaigns and drive more store traffic that didn’t take a lot of time to implement.

This tug-of-war between wanting to implement innovative marketing strategies but having limited time and resources is nothing new to e-commerce businesses. THE SOLUTION

Jennifer was instantly wowed by Grid & Pixel’s graphic and animation library, as well as the easy integration into Shopify and Klaviyo — Posh Puppy’s e-Commerce and email automation platforms.

After auditing the existing campaigns in Klaviyo, our hypothesis was simple: If we make Posh Puppy Boutique’s email graphics more personalized with dynamic content and less reliant on text to convey important messaging, they’ll instantly be more relevant to customers and click-through rates will increase. The lovely designs helped, too.

We conducted A/B tests for nine campaigns over the course of three weeks to see how our graphics compared to Posh Puppy’s typical promotional graphics. Grid & Pixel’s graphics leveraged personalized customer data, product imagery, and animation over stock photography and text-heavy emails.

THE RESULTS

After three weeks, Posh Puppy Boutique saw an incredible 96% increase in clicks for campaigns — nearly doubling their usual clickthrough rate.

Beyond that, creating and swapping in templates took a matter of minutes as opposed to hours. We estimate that using Grid & Pixel’s graphics saved Posh Puppy Boutique about 40 hours of time (an entire workweek!) that could be spent on other business projects and priorities instead of marketing design.
